Problogger cheated at the International Blog Cup

Yes, I know what you’re thinking; why bother cheating at such an contest? Its nothing to gain. The International Blog Cup is not big, it’s not important to anyone (not even me) and the winner gets nothing.

But, Problogger still cheated. How? By writing a post where he included a link directly to his vote-button over at the vote page. The high number of votes he got therefore is merely a number of how many actually clicked the link to see what the fuzz was all about. As one of his comments on his site said:

Hey, I accidentally voted for problogger. I guess I should read links before I click on them. ;)

Of course, it worked. He’s winning by a huge number of votes. However, its way beneath him to do something like this.

Actually, I really dont care if I win or not since my blog is in this cup by a mistake. Its not a blog, just a page displaying my free themes for Wordpress. So, Problogger should have, and would have, beaten me anyway.

But, its the way he do it that is so funny.

After a few comments on his post where he cheated saying that he was a cheater, he has changed the link.. One comment said:

That link up there really doesn’t suit you Darren. (Yes, I am talking about that vote parametr !)

Funny when the biggest players in the world actually does something like this to beat a page with 20 subscribers and 100 daily readers.
