Social Bookmarking Plug-in: “All-in-One-bookmarking”

Posted on 11 October, 2007 by Peterandrej

Social Bookmarking is one of the most popular ways to drive traffic to your blog. A post which reaches the Digg-front page will get visited at least 10,000 times in a day, or so I’ve heard.

But, submitting posts to the huge number of social sites out there is time-consuming, and of course: really boring. Not anymore. Here is a social bookmarking plug-in for Wordpress which makes it all a little easier. In fact, through this plug-in you could submit your posts to 30+ of the most popular social sites, including Digg, Reddit, Fark and all those others.

After the installation-process, which is fairly simple, you’ll find a picture that looks like this under every post on your wordpress powered weblog:

Installation:

  1. Download the plug-in from Socialmarker.com. Unzip it.
  2. Upload the folder “Socialmarker-button” to your plug-ins folder, typically /wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate the plug-in in your WP-admin area “plug-ins”.

Really, that’s all. Plug-in is tested on Wordpress 1.5 and later (up to 2.2).
Happy Bookmarking!
