Richard K Miller has made a useful plug-in for Wordpress, which may increase the number of those all important subscribers to your feed. Nice one too.
The plug-in works in that way that new visitors your weblog will see a small message on top of your posts where the they will be made aware of that they could subscribe to your feed. By default, the plug-in will show this message:

The plug-in, called “What would Seth Godin do”, is an ease to install too. I’ve done it here on my own blog (perhaps you’ve already read the welcome text if you’re new here?) already.
The plug-in makes use of cookies (which most users have activated). After installation you could edit what the welcome text should be, and how many times a users have to visit your blog before the message disappears. 3 times is the default number, which sounds ok. You could also specify if the message should appear before or after your posts.
Installation:
1. Download the plug-in, unzip it.
2. Upload the file “what_would_seth_godin_do.php” to your plug-ins folder, usually at /wp-content/plug-ins/
3. Activate the plug-in in the WP admin area, and go to “Options” to customize it.
And that’s all. I will be running this plug-in for a while here at my blog to see how it does. Will post a post on how it did on a later date.
